Dave Seaman's most recent idea was to come up with a compilation that highlighted artists from a certain country, well he decided on Greece with ToneDepth, Kosmas Epsilon, Christian Cambas and more.

I'd like to comment to that as a Greek not as someone who has heard the album. In fact I have only heard the last one, that's how new they are.

The progressive scene has always been big in Greece with probably the biggest audiances. The psychedelic genre would be a close second and the rest dance industry would fall into oblivion after that.
But there was not much progress being made in producing tracks up to 2 years ago. Suddenly the Greek producers started to flourish and more of them started to pop up. The result was some very good tracks indeed that deserved the support they got from many DJ's like Mike Schulz, Armin. etc. I personally (although I'm mostly into tech-trance and techno, I enjoy all genres) think that Nikola Gala's (or Perasma's) 'swing 2 harmony' was one of the best tunes of last year. And actually hearing this for the first time in a Schulz mix and later discovering that it was a Greek production I felt quite proud.
The other two proud moments for me was hearing a Kosmas Epsilon (he's a star in the making Wink) tune played by Tiesto as his first track and reading this review. Dave Seaman's (I'm not really a fan of his but I have the apropriate respect for the man and have seen him a couple of times playing.) decision to mix an album exclusively with Greek tracks (although stolen from me as I have already done it, lol) reflects the upward direction of the scene. Two bad that the names of Andrew K and Nikola Gala did not make it to the tracklist because I think they are another two very promising up and coming producers.
If you don't mind, I would like to shout a big CONGRATULATIONS to all the Greek producers out there and keep on the good work guys. If you also like techno you have to check out Axel Karakasis and Spiros Kaloumenos. And if you like psychedelic trance Wizzy Noise always excelled there. I have yet to hear any proper trance or tech-trance release from Greece but I surely hope so.

Sorry about the endless ranting but I had to express that Wink
