Every 2nd Thursday "Headlands" showcases the very latest in progressive house
from both established and up-and-coming artists. The show's 2nd hour features
guest mixes by prominent American and International DJs and producers.
This month features a guest mix by Sven Hauck.



Born in Germany and currently based in Amsterdam, Sven Hauck traveled
frequently at a young age; by the age of ten he was immersed in the cultures
of Europe, America and the Caribbean. Music was Sven's one constant, and
with influences ranging from Skinny Puppy to Pink Floyd, Sven built his first
music computer in early 2000 and strung together some rudimentary sounds.
Years later, Sven's first collaboration with Nasir Ansari, titled "Get Down", was
played on the Delta Heavy Tour by Jimmy van M, validating his instinctual love
for making music. Soon after, Sven collaborated with dance music legend Medway
on a series of tracks that gained support from the likes of John Digweed, Hernan
Cattaneo and the Flash Brothers. This year, Sven has seen his collaborations
and solo work land on labels such as Babylon, Baroque, and Pure Substance
Digital, and with more work in the pipeline, 2010 is shaping up to be another
great year for Sven and his sought-after production work.
